Scripture Union Daily Guide 29 September 2026 Outline
John was shown a holy city, prepared in heaven and descending to the earth. It is a place of glory and beauty, the perfect home for the Lamb’s bride for all eternity, and the glory of God dwells in the city (Revelation 21:9-11). Note what constitutes the city’s beauty, its security and holiness (Revelation 21:18-27).
The city has twelve foundations and gates, and a high wall. The wall and gates speak of protection. God’s people will never have to fear any enemies, for Angels will be sentries (Revelation 21:12-14). Note the names written on the foundations and the gates. What does this say of Old and New covenant saints? The measured city is said to be “equal on all sides.” This indicates perfection; nothing is out of order or balance. Its dimensions also indicate there will be plenty of room for everyone (Revelation 21:15-17).
Some things are not in the city. See these in Revelation 21:22-27; Revelation 22:3,5; c.f., Isaiah 60:19. There is only one river in the heavenly city which flows directly from God’s throne
What will we do in heaven for all eternity (Revelation 22:3). There will be no boredom there.

•Nigeria to fulfill her destiny as a gospel lighthouse to the world
•Nigeria to become a great nation globally and this generation to be filled with the knowledge and fear of God.
•The will of God to be done and His kingdom shall replace the government of wickedness in the nation

•The powers of darkness working against Nigeria
